Opera South Dakota Presents Goldie B. Locks and the Three Singing Bears

McKennan Park Band Shell  |  #135000

Opera South Dakota with Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is proud to present an operatic version of the story of Goldilock and the Three Bears based on scenes from the operas by W. A. Mozart and J. Offenbach. Goldie B. Locks doesn’t just like bugs, she loves them. When a beautiful butterfly flutters off into the woods, she chases it, forgetting a promise made to her mom to stay close to home. Ending up lost and alone, Goldie B’s story unfolds much like the traditional Goldilocks, but with one important difference.

Bare Bodkins Presents Much Ado About Nothing

Queen Bee Mill at Falls Parks  |  #135002

After the success of our 22nd season production of The Comedy of Errors, we are excited to offer audiences another of Shakespeare’s most crowd-pleasing comedies: Much Ado About Nothing. A Shakespearean romantic comedy full of exciting twists, Much Ado About Nothing centers around sworn enemies Beatrice and Benedick, two people who vow to avoid marriage at all costs. While Beatrice and Benedick hilariously spar with one another in a battle of wits, their friends have other ideas and conspire to trick Beatrice and Benedick into falling in love with each other! Fast-paced comedy, mistaken identity, and plenty of will-they-won’t-they romance is in store for audiences of Much Ado About Nothing.

The 90-minute performance will take place in the ruins of the Queen Bee Mill at Falls Park.

**Seating is on metal bleachers with very limited room for those needing to sit in lawn chairs. All tickets are free, but seating is limited. First-come, first-seated. Tickets handed out starting at 6 p.m. the night of the performance.
