The Shape Sioux Falls 2040 – Comprehensive plan is amended in two ways. The first type is a general update which includes policy updates and five-year updates to the plan. General updates are processed by the Future Planning Team. The second type is a future land use map amendment, which is requested by an individual or groups of landowners to update the size of employment centers or growth area of the map. Amendments requested by individuals or groups of landowners require an application submitted to the Planning and Development Services Department. (Planning Applications)
