The focus of the school day was on the letter T for “transportation,” and on Friday, March 6, two preschool classes at Holy Spirit Elementary School in southeast Sioux Falls learned straight from the source about everything from traffic signals to traffic signs.

Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization Holds First Open House

On Jan. 14 the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) sought public input on transportation planning at its first open house for the 2045 Long-Range Transportation Plan. The MPO needs to adopt an updated transportation plan by late this year to meet federal requirements, address all modes of transportation system changes, and consider current goals and objectives.

Successful Week of Construction at Main Pump Station

January 14: The City of Sioux Falls Public Works Department had a successful week of construction at the Main Pump Station construction site at Rice Street and Bahnson Avenue. The new station will replace the existing 40-year-old Brandon Road Pump Station, which handles approximately 90 percent of the city’s wastewater.
